Did you know that Winooski has it’s own public library? Well, it does! You will find Winooski Memorial Library located on the ground floor of the Champlain Mill. It is open varying hours Tues – Sat. For more information and updates check out their blog: Winooski Memorial Library Blog

Not only does the library offer a wide variety of reading materials and audio-books, but you can also borrow entry passes to the ECHO Center and Vermont State Parks. Not a bad deal!

We’re watching tents rise and pig roast apparatuses appear for tonight’s kick off to the Riverwalk festival. Come on by and watch fireworks at dusk over the Winooski River!

Don’t miss the Winooski Riverwalk Festival happening on the shore of the Winooski River.  Come enjoy the fireworks this Friday June 26th at dusk.  The festival runs from 4PM through the end of the fireworks on Friday and 10AM to 4PM on Saturday. While you are here check out the activities for kids, food, arts & crafts, paddling events, games and music.

Don’t miss Friday night, Tammy Fletcher will be playing before the fireworks kick off at 7:45PM. Then stay for the fireworks that are put on with the Riverwalk Festival in downtown Winooski VT. Start your 4th of July celebration early and come check it out.

The O’Brien Center received a federal grant of $114,000 in order to improve the energy efficentcy of the space. Moneies will go towards a new roof for the community center which is located in an old shopping center. You can read more about it in the Burlignton Free Press article by clicking here.

If you have not heard, the Winooski Farmer’s Market kicked off last Thursday. A variety of vendors are out today braving the rain! Stop by before 6PM or mark your calendar for this weekly event, every Thursday from 3PM-6PM in front of the Champlain Mill.

The Cascades at Winooski Falls is excited to announce the newest member of their sales team, Maggie Macdonald. Maggie grew up in Stowe and graduated from UVM in 2000. She comes to us with a background in Real Estate from New York City, where she work for the Corcoran Group. Maggie has also spent the last two years working as the Director of Client Relations for Union Street Media. A web development company that focuses primarily on Real Estate websites.
