The Eclecto fundraiser held at the Champlain Mill, sponsored by the Winooski Falls Development Company, Monelle, Ecco, Champlain College, Farrell Distributing and Mountain Air Systems, raised $2000 for the O’Brien Community Center in Winooski. We are very excited that the event will have the opportunity to positively impact our community!

The B2B Cartel which hosted the event is very excited about the funds raise. They are particularly thankful to the Northfield Savings Bank for their matching donation and to the Cascades Team for donating the space in the Mill and their help with set up for the event. Eclecto B2B Fundraiser at the Champlain Mill

eclecto

The Cascades and the Winooski Falls Development team is excited to host the B2B Cartel’s Winter event, Eclecto at the Champlain Mill. The event will be held on Saturday, January 16th from 9PM-2AM. A 20$ donation is required for entry and all proceeds will benefit the O’Brien Community Center in Winooski.

B2B or Back to Black has been hosting these events for a number of years now. It stared as a group of friends who wanted to throw a great party and benefit a worthy cause. Each event allows them to donate to a local charity or organization the group feels deserves the support. The 2009 summer event raised funds and supply donations for the Kings Street Youth Center.

We’re really excited to have to B2B host at the Mill! Check out information about the event by clicking here.

FHA Loans Coming to The Cascades

With the recent adjustment to FHA Loan requirements the Cascades now qualify. Since we’ve sold 30% of the building (View Sold Cascades Property List Here), our buyers will soon be able to finance with an FHA Loan. We’ve started the project approval process and expect to be ready to go by March 1st. As it is now we can accept contracts contingent on this approval!

It is very exciting news for the Cascades and our future purchasers. Some of the benefits of FHA loans are as follows:

  • Down payments as low as 3.5% and no mortgage payments held in reserve
  • Flexible credit and income-qualifying guidelines
  • Choice of predictable fixed-rate payments or attainable adjustable-rate introductory packages
  • Gift funds accepted for down payment
  • Family member or friends allowed as co-signers

If you are interested in the Cascades and want to take advantage of the FHA program, come down for a tour today!

Seven Days Article: Waiting for Winooski

Seven Days wrote a great article about the Winooski Falls Development that includes Cascades, Keen’s Crossing, Spinner Place and The Champlain Mill. It is a reflective piece on how the neighborhood is coming since the ribbon cutting 4 years ago.

Etsy: Shop Local in Winooski

I have recently become obsessed with Etsy.

It all started with my hunt for unique holiday cards. No surprise my search landed me on this fun craft-sellers site. I have shopped Etsy before, but since I last visited I found the navigation a bit more user-friendly; making it much easier for me to weed through the junk and find the good stuff.

With the holidays upon us I started shopping around for all the special people on my list. It is now to the point where I want one of everything for MYSELF, and I have way to many options. Needless to say, I am very excited to give this Christmas. I love finding a gift perfectly matches it’s recipient. I find it harder and harder to do that these days.

Etsy is truly this years holiday blessing.

What’s more, you can shop locally! How great to be able to buy the perfect gift AND support your local community. Simply go to the Etsy Local page (click here) and search Winooski VT! Get your cat some plump catnip filled eyeballs to play with this year! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
